The San Diego Padres mounted a comeback but fell a run short, losing NLDS Game 2, 6-5, to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Padres loaded the bases in the top of the ninth, but Eric Hosmer grounded out to end the game. Reigning NL MVP Cody Bellinger hit a home run and robbed Fernando Tatis Jr. of a would-be two-run shot.
