SAN DIEGO >> Dodgers manager Don Mattingly looked like he had just lost his best friend late Thursday night. His team had overcome a 4-0 deficit to lead 7-4, only to be beaten 10-7 by the San Diego Padres before 33,505 at Petco Park.There was plenty for Mattingly to be unhappy about on a night when the first-place Dodgers (75-58) managed to retain their lead of 6 1/2 games over the Giants in the NL West.
