Don Mattingly wanted to manage again and no one -- including his previous boss -- figured it would take long for that to happen.Now, seven days after he and the Dodgers formally parted ways, Mattingly has agreed to become the Miami Marlins' next manager. The Marlins haven't formally announced the hire, as teams are discouraged from making major announcements during the World Series.
