Garrett Richards gets the nod to start for Angels on opening day

Angels manager Mike Scioscia named Garrett Richards the opening day starter on Tuesday before the Angels played to a 1-1 tie with the Cleveland Indians. He'll oppose reigning NL Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta when the Angels open the season Monday at home against the Chicago Cubs. Richards, who allowed two hits over five innings Tuesday, is already looking forward to the opportunity.
