NEW YORK >> In the eighth inning of the Dodgers' 51st game of the season, Dave Roberts walked onto the field and took a baseball from Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw has thrown 1,159 pitches since Roberts became manager of the Dodgers last winter, but had never been removed in the middle of an inning before Sunday night at Citi Field.
