SAN DIEGO>> Adrian Gonzalez played through a lot of pain over 1,833 games since he made his big-league debut in 2004. But he finally acknowledged it was time to "take a step back so I can get everything right."Three days short of his 35th birthday, Gonzalez went on the DL on Friday for the first time in his 14-year career.
